We ALL fall down, together we rise. Whether you’re going through dark days, or have dealt with them in the past, or perhaps maybe they have impacted someone you love, we have all been impacted by mental health struggles in some way, shape or form. No matter what it is that you are going through, life can and will get better for you. We have all felt that same feeling of being alone in this world, when the lights are all out, and nobody else is awake and all we have is the voice in our head. The feeling that even with our friends, family, coworkers, teammates, bosses, coaches, and peers around us, that we are alone in this fight, and in this world. THAT SPECIFIC FEELING IS WHAT CONNECTS US ALL. We are together alone. Not only will it get “better” but I truly believe you can find the greatness that resides within you, and that you’ll spread it to others as well. I find it interesting to speak with business owners, hard workers, and inspiring people about the challenges they have faced and how they‘ve overcome them. Based out of Vancouver, I find it important to speak about some of the difficult things in life, and to encourage others to feel happier and spread the love!

Monday Jul 14, 2025
Monday Jul 14, 2025
Ever feel completely stuck—like a problem is just too big, too stressful, or too frustrating to crack?
In this episode, I talk about the power of walking away, resetting your mind, and coming back stronger. Whether it's a brutal level in Donkey Kong Country 2 that stumped me as a kid, or hitting tight deadlines in the chaos of construction—sometimes the solution isn’t pushing harder... it’s stepping back and resetting.
I also dive into how to prime your mind to get in the right headspace before tackling a challenge. Whether you need focus, calm, or energy—there are things you can do to shift your mindset before the battle even begins.
If you’ve ever hit a wall, mentally or physically, this one’s for you.
🎯 Topics covered:
- Mental priming for productivity and clarity
- The power of stepping away to reset your perspective
- Real-life examples from childhood gaming to jobsite pressure
- How to know when to push vs when to pause
👇 Drop a comment and let me know your go-to reset method or a time when walking away gave you the clarity you needed!

Emotional Tax of Negative Thinking and Gossip | Ep. #157
Monday Jul 07, 2025
Monday Jul 07, 2025
In today’s solo episode, I dive into how the quality of your thoughts and the way you speak — about people, situations, and even yourself — directly affect your energy, emotions, and outlook on life.
We talk about envy, gossip, judgment, and negative thinking… and how all of it creates a low-vibration mindset that bleeds into your mood and how you show up in the world.
But here’s the twist: your mindset doesn’t just shape how you feel — it also filters how you interpret the world around you.
Whether you're listening to a podcast, in a class, or sitting through a seminar, your mindset determines whether you’re open to value or just looking to judge and critique.
If you want to raise your energy, improve your attitude, and be more intentional with how you think and speak, this one’s for you.

News Doesn't Matter | Ep. #156
Monday Jun 30, 2025
Monday Jun 30, 2025
Let’s be real—the news doesn’t make your life better. Most of it is fake, exaggerated, or completely outside your control. And even the “real” stuff? It rarely impacts your day-to-day reality in any meaningful way.
In this solo episode of the Risen Fallen Podcast, I break down why constantly consuming the news is destroying your mental health, killing your focus, and distracting you from what actually matters. I’ll show you why unplugging from the chaos is one of the best things you can do for your mind, body, and soul.
Instead of obsessing over things you can’t control, start focusing on what will move the needle:
-
Getting stronger—physically and mentally
-
Building real wealth and financial freedom
-
Improving your relationships—with people and with God
-
Taking full ownership of your life and your future
This episode is a wake-up call for anyone caught in the loop of fear, distraction, and doomscrolling. If you’re tired of wasting time on things that don’t serve you, and you’re ready to build a life of purpose, clarity, and peace—this one’s for you.
🎧 Hit play and hear why the news doesn’t matter... but you do.

Enthusiasm is Magnetic | Ep. #155
Monday Jun 23, 2025
Monday Jun 23, 2025
You won't always love the WHAT—but if you are clear about your WHY throw your whole heart into the HOW, people notice.
In this episode, I talk about the quiet power of enthusiasm and how putting your energy into even the mundane can draw others in.
Then I share a story that reminded me there are still good people out there: the trailer popped off my hitch, and before I even had time to panic, three good old Canadian boys showed up, ready to help. Sometimes the universe sends you a hand when you lead with heart.

Make Hay While the Sun Shines | Ep. #154
Monday Jun 16, 2025
Monday Jun 16, 2025
In this solo episode of Risen Fallen, I’m diving into the loud voice most of us try to ignore — the inner critic. You know the one. It shows up when you're tired, overwhelmed, or just unsure. And in the middle of summer? It can hit even harder.
Some people feel energized by the sun, while others feel stuck in a summertime slump. I talk about both sides — and why your mindset, more than the weather, plays the biggest role in your energy and direction.
I also get into the importance of taking real inventory of your life. Because if you don’t slow down and reflect, how can you tell if that inner critic is telling the truth... or just running its mouth? Like I say in the episode: “If you drank too much, you don’t know what stories about you are true.”
This one’s raw, real, and a reminder that sometimes the loudest voice in your head isn’t you — it’s fear. And it’s time to take that power back.
Make hay while the sun shines. Just don’t let the inner critic run the show.

Scarcity vs. Abundance | People You Don’t Like | Ep. #153
Monday Jun 09, 2025
Monday Jun 09, 2025
In this solo episode of The Risen Fallen Podcast, I, Mark Henriksen, delve into the challenges of pursuing growth in environments that might not feel welcoming. Whether it's a jiu-jitsu gym where the vibe feels off or a trade school filled with folks you don't click with, sometimes you're in a place where you can't just pick up and leave.
We'll explore the concept of scarcity versus abundance—understanding when it's time to adapt and grow within your current environment, and when it's appropriate to seek out new spaces that align better with your values and goals.
Join me as we discuss strategies to navigate these situations, maintain your motivation, and continue your personal development journey, even when the surroundings aren't ideal.

Distraction Is the Thief of Joy | Ep. #152
Monday Jun 02, 2025
Monday Jun 02, 2025
We always hear that comparison is the thief of joy—but I think it’s actually distraction that’s silently stealing our happiness.
In this episode, I break down how constantly reaching for our phones, filling every quiet moment with noise, and avoiding stillness is keeping us disconnected from real peace and joy. I’ve caught myself doing it too—scrolling instead of sitting with my thoughts, numbing out instead of tuning in.
I talk about what I’ve noticed in my own life, how I’ve started changing my relationship with distraction, and what you can do to take back your focus, your time, and your joy.
If you’ve been feeling mentally drained, disconnected, or just "off" lately… this might be why.
In this episode, I talk about:
• Why silence feels uncomfortable—but is necessary
• How distraction keeps us stuck and unfulfilled
• Practical ways I’ve been reclaiming my focus
• Why presence is more powerful than productivity
If this hits home for you, share it with someone who needs it too. And as always—thanks for tuning in.

Burnout From Too Little | Ep. #150
Monday May 19, 2025
Monday May 19, 2025
In this episode, I break down a hard truth: burnout isn’t always the result of working too hard — most of the time, it’s because you’re neglecting the basics.
Lack of sleep, poor nutrition, no movement, and constantly chasing "quick fixes" instead of facing the real issue — all of these are what quietly wear you down.
I also dive into the dangerous mindset of always looking for the "cheapest option" or the easiest way to feel better — and how that shortcut mentality is what got you here in the first place.
Whether you’re dealing with fatigue, low motivation, or emotional burnout, this episode will help you understand how to rebuild the right way — through consistency, maintenance, and self-respect.
